Thinker, Statesman & Nationalist leader, M K. Gandhi not only led his own country to Independence but also influenced political activists of many persuasions throughout the world with his methods of philosophy of non violent confrontation or civil disobedience.
In this blog I would like to share some of the learning from the personality of Gandhiji after his marriage & return to India from South Africa, The period of his Brahmacharya, Time spent in Bengal with Mr. Gokhale & In Mumbai as a Lawyer.
Gandhi being very strong & calm person by nature was the best example to teach us how to deal with the problematic situations, dealing with different types of peoples. Personality like him teaches us how to remain quite & focused, How to convince people & give them strength to overcome in difficult situations, To believe in god & preach the people in society.
Gandhiji always preached & practiced non-violence & used to give practical examples to people which is one of the best way to make people believe in us. His personality teaches us how to remain calm & composed to prove our points in people who can misunderstand us. The way he managed public institutions & fought for passing the bills against race discrimination was inspirational.
Being very strong believer of In education he never believed in British education systems & believed in learning from family members rather than keeping children in hostel. according to him children should not be Separated from their parties.
The kind nature of Gandhi teaches us how to try help people in their poor conditions. He helped leapers, Beggers & apart from being lawyer he nurtured people in the hospital & offered help to sick & wounded soldiers. His helping nature teaches a lot about how to care economically backward people & others in our society.
Gandhiji was self controlled person & wanted to live good life. He also went into Brahmacharya.
His personality teaches us how to lead simple life with ease & lower expenses . Believing in self help & its practice.
During the boer war , Gandhiji also worked as the ambulance corps for British empire to help Indians in SA. Even during the plagues & epidemics he started sanitary system in India. He awakened people to keep their houses & environment clean .He also pleaded British government for funds during this period.
Gandhiji never accepted gifts from anyone at any point of time because according to him one should not accept the gifts for social works & keep continuing work for the society without any type of expectations.
The limited power of the society in India was one of the biggest concern for Gandhiji & he always tried to fight for this during this period. He was against the untouchabililty & always loved to have clean environment.
The personality of Gandhiji inspires us to give something to the society & should try and offer service to people in the need. We should have deep understanding of the society & never undervalue the type of work we do.
Gandhiji was somewhat reserved kind of person & had great quality of observing the people around him. He was very much regular in his thoughts and always tried to point out the negativity of people in contacts with him for their further improvements. He was perfectionist & was great at time management.
Gandhiji was against the form of worship in which animals were sacrificed at the temple like Kali temple in Bengal. He always raised issues that he found in the society to the concerned authority & tried to irradiate them.
